The Adventure Racing World Championship 2007

2007 brings the Royal National MOD right here to Fort William from
the 12th October till the 20th October.

We also have the priviledge of hosting the World Mountain Bike
Championships again this year, this event is held at Ben Nevis.

Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships

The biggest mountain bike event in the World

Monday 3 - Sunday 9 September 2007

Having hosted the event since 2002, Fort William is already an established venue
on the UCI World Cup circuit. With over 750 of the World's top riders competing
over a week long festival of mountain biking. Competitors will take part in the
disciplines of Cross Country, Downhill, 4-Cross and Trials.

Jacobite Train

21 st May - October 12th

The Jacobite which was used in the making of the Harry Potter films operates
between Fort William and Mallaig stopping at Glenfinnan station. The scene of
"Hogwarts Express" travelling across a viaduct was filmed on the Glenfinnan
Viaduct, some 16 miles west of Fort William.
